I used to like this song, particularly, and listened to it when I was young, about 30 years ago. The lyrics: 'I see a red door and I want it painted black, no colours anymore, I want them to turn black. I see people turn their heads and quickly look away..like a new born baby it just happens everyday.. etc. ... and 'I look insdie myself and see my heart is black.... and 'it's not easy facing up when your whole world is black..' etc.
n late 1996 or 1997, I remember getting phone calls to an apartment (in NZ, that I had just moved in to) askiing for 'the red door' , and had to get the phone number changed. It was some months before I heard of the accident in Paris, in the Paris tunnel. I am sure my memory is right. I never found out what 'the red door' was, but I just remembered the lyrics of this song in the last few days. I am now questionning my memory: were they really asking for 'the red door' : is my memory right, but I think it was. So, I just thought I'd comment.
Is this comment acceptable? I will understand if it is not, and hope no offence is taken by it.

No offence of course
Actually I don't know what accident you are talking about. Too many various accidents have taken place in the world since then.
The RS's "The red door" has the sexual allusion.
It's impossible to say what the people that called you really meant. Was they crazy a bit?

My reply to previous reply: No, I don't know who the person was who made the phone calls. They stopped when I asked for the phone number to be changed. Since I also got silent calls in the middle of the night, around the same time, I do wonder if someone was a bit strange, yes.
Maybe I was being tracked by someone, but I never found out. I just remembered recently about this song, and the lyrics in it.
I don't think 'The Red door' has any allusion: it does not have any to me.
What accident? I mean the accident in Paris: Princess Di, which happenned in 1997. That is why I didn't know if I should comment (there were a few other things that made me wonder, but it probably sounds a bit conspiracy-like and I have no interest in being a conspiracy theorist).
